ABOUT TROPICAL RIVERS
Tropical Rivers & Adventure Tours was established in early 2021 after the close of the pioneering rafting and adventure company Rios Tropicales. Ana Patricia Quesada, longtime Rios Tropicales Director of Marketing and Sales, and her husband, Gustavo Madrigal, a former Rios Tropicales raft guide and successful businessman, created Tropical Rivers to continue Rios Tropicales’ 35-year legacy of high-quality professional rafting and adventure tours in Costa Rica.
When Rios Tropicales closed in February 2021 due to multiple factors, CEO Rafael Gallo gave Tropical Rivers & Adventure Tours his highest endorsement. Ana Patricia and Gustavo are proud to continue the traditions of top safety and excellent customer service and to serve the thousands of clients and partners they’ve come to know over three decades, along with new friends.
Amazing Vacations has teamed up with Tropical Rivers to provide a safe and memorable whitewater kayaking experience in Costa Rica, we have more than 25 kayaks creating one of the biggest and most updated fleet of kayaks in Central America. All our trips are guided by ACA kayak, rescue and SUP Instructors with more than 15 years of experience kayaking.
We are proud to pass along our legacy to trusted former Rios Tropicales guides, who formed their own completely new and independent rafting company to keep fulfilling the dreams of Costa Rica whitewater rafting fans. Rios Tropicales has a long history of paying it forward in adventure tourism training and giving a hand to former raft guides to become ecopreneurs. Both Amazing Vacations and Tropical Rivers & Adventure Tours are also following that path.
