The La Paz Waterfall Gardens

While we haven’t loved the inability to travel to Costa Rica due to this pandemic, it has allowed us to focus on some important things that we have not been prioritizing such as reviewing our favorite family photos and videos! While flipping through our photo albums, we just had to share some of the highlights! We all agree, in terms of stunning, up-close experiences with Costa Rican wildlife, and a great introduction to the eco-tourism that Costa Rica boasts, we highly recommend La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

North of San Jose, this ecological attraction is a must see on your way to Arenal or Sarapiqui. La Paz has five stunning waterfalls, and is a private wildlife sanctuary with birds, butterflies, and Costa Rican wildlife. There are miles and miles of hiking trails on property. La Paz has a Peace Lodge with dining and accommodations for those wanting to spend more time here.

We’ve taken our families here with children of all ages and our parents too. While the animals and butterflies are all easily accessible for persons with mobility issues, there are some stairs to reach the waterfalls. Take your time, use the handrails, and enjoy the stunning views at La Paz Waterfall Garden.
