Surely your trip to Costa Rica will include in country travel. Keep this in mind as you go from location to location.

Travel During Your Costa Rica Trip

Your trip to Costa Rica will include some travel as you go place to place. While you travel, we hope you’ll look out the window and enjoy all the wonders that the country has to offer.

However, you might see something out your window that you want to explore more. Maybe it’s a roadside Fruit Stand. Maybe it’s a cemetery. Maybe it’s a Monkey or a Sloth.

Please say something!

Let your driver know that something has caught your eye

Or that you need something.

(you’re hungry, you need to use the restroom, you feel a little sick – these are things they will want to know!)

So don’t be shy. Please speak up and let us know. We are happy to stop and let you look or get more comfortable. But we don’t know unless you tell us!

For Example – Have you Seen this Fruit?

It’s called a Mamon

I saw this fruit from my window at multiple stands as we drove by on my first trip to Costa Rica.  It was displayed in bright red bunches and I was fascinated.  I wondered.  Is it spiky?  Do you eat it?  It was so small.  I finally asked what it was and how did it taste?

The car stopped at the next stand.  We hopped out and purchased some and we all crowded around in our bus and checked them out.  It looks prickly, but it’s not. It’s soft. It’s fairly easy to peel.  Inside the fruit is white. There is an annoying seed, but it is mild and sweet and maybe a little bit sour. Some have referred to it as nature’s ‘sweet-tart’ candy.

But here’s the deal.  If I hadn’t said anything – I would have missed out.  Speaking up got us to try this delightful new fruit.  So don’t be afraid to ask.  That is one of the best perks about traveling with Amazing Vacations Costa Rica!  They really took such good care of us and we had the flexibility to do what we wanted and was most important to us!  And – if you see this bright red fruit, grab a handful and try them out!
