Meet Your SUP Guides

Brittany Parker

Brittany, from Rifle, Colorado, is a professional whitewater SUP paddler and river surfer paddling for Badfish Stand Up Paddle. She’s working to grow river surfing and whitewater SUP through her co-owned instructional business RVR 2 RVR. Her love of SUP and river surfing has taken her all over the world, from Japan to Zimbabwe, where she was part of a team attempting the first descent of the Zambezi on boards. She co-produced and starred in a film called ‘Can I Surf That’ where she traveled around the country in search of the “perfect” river wave. Her love of writing transcends her paddling career and has been a part of her life as far back as she can remember. She’s been published in several magazines and regularly writes poetry; all of which lives on her website www.bpsurfs.com. She believes nature and the river is life’s greatest teacher and will do everything she can to protect it.

Natali Zollinger

Natali is a desert girl at heart. From her home base in Moab, Utah, she’s built the perfect surf-and-turf lifestyle as a raft guide, professional stand up paddle boarder representing Badfish SUP, RVR 2 RVR Instructor, and fitness trainer. She loves empowering her clients through paddling and personal training.

Natali has moved steadily up the ranks of SUP racing over the past few years winning the most competitive races in the river scene for both sup cross + downriver sprint at the Go-Pro Mountain Games. As a competitor, ambassador and instructor, her natural energy and passion always shines through. And even though her heart is in the desert, you can usually find her playing, training or teaching on a river.

All Inclusive Costa Rica SUP River Adventure Trip

SUP and Experience Costa Rica’s Best Rivers

You’ll have a chance to SUP paddle some of the most amazing sections of whitewater during this amazing week in Costa Rica.

Huacas Falls Pacuare River

Our trip includes different sections of river on our favorite rivers throughout Costa Rica. You’ll experience Class II, III rapids with a some optional Class IV sections of river throughout the week that you may choose to experience in a raft.

Depending on water levels, you will have a chance to paddle on the Pequibaye, Sarapiqui, and multiple sections of the Pacuare River.

Gear, Food, and Accommodations

OK, so can we just mention that the food will be amazing. Whether you are eating lunch along the river or enjoying home cooked meals, family style from our private chef, you’re going to be talking about the food as much as the rivers and adventures of the day. Oh yeah, and did we mention the fruit and pineapple that you’re going be able to eat pretty much every day as well?

You’ll be staying in top rated hotels and lodges while you are on the trip. Each of the hotels has wi-fi that is fast enough to do video chats with family back home so you can be sure to send them plenty of photos about your adventure. When you are driving, we provide a mobile hotspot in the vehicle, so you’re always connected, as long as we are within cell service.

If you decide not to bring your own paddleboard (most people do), we have both Hala and Badfish river paddleboards and Werner paddles that can be rented for the week for an additional $150. You can also take advantage of our new fleet of kayaks and gear if you’d like to learn to roll a kayak or have one of our ACA guides teach you to roll a boat. Our fleet includes new boats from Dagger, LiquidLogid, and Jackson.

River Rescue Training

For those who are interested, our team is happy to teach and practice river rescue skills with your group while you are on the river and/or traveling. Our ACA certified guides may provide an option to learn or practice rescue training during certain days on the river at no extra charge. Our Costa Rican guides have several ACA certifications and even worked as instructors at the world famous Otter Bar Kayak School. They love sharing their knowledge of how to deal with river emergencies, avoid accidents, and promote safer river trips for you and those you paddle with in the future.

What SUP Ability Level is This Trip For?

This Costa Rica kayaking trip is for SUP Paddlers who are comfortable on the river and should have at least a few days of experience on a SUP board. We are expecting to have a small group of beginners and a larger group of more experienced SUP paddle boarders. The beginners will receive small group instruction and on some days will be paddling a different section of river than the more experienced people.

For some of the days and some sections of the river, we will take the group down in a raft. Our goal is to make this a super fun trip for everyone. Our team has tons of experience with working with two groups on a trip and we have spots along each river that will help everyone who wants to, have the opportunity to push themselves and learn new skills.

If you have a spouse or partner that does not SUP, Raft or kayak, we are happy to build a separate itinerary for them that will keep them busy in the areas we visit and also include them on some of the river rafting days so they can still spend time with you.

If you have questions, please contact us and we’re happy to talk with you more about which trip is right for you.
